Hop cards are hard plastic reloadable cards that last up to 10 years. You can get one at hundreds of retail locations in the metro area. Hop tickets are paper tickets with electronics inside — good for either 2½ hours or 1 day — available from transit agency ticket offices and ticket machines at MAX and WES stations. Both Hop tickets and Hop cards must be tapped on a Hop reader to pay your fare every time you board or transfer. Hop tickets are not reloadable. Neither Hop tickets nor Hop cards are recyclable.
